Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT) is supporting the 2021 Soldiering On Awards by sponsoring the ‘Working Together’ Award for the sixth consecutive year.
The Soldiering On Awards has 12 categories, with three open for a public vote, recognizing the achievements of people within or supporting the Armed Forces community. X-Forces, the organization behind the awards, is inviting members of the public and Armed Forces community to nominate individuals and organizations who deserve recognition for their impact. Nominations for 2021 open on Monday 18th January.
The FiMT Working Together Award was created to recognize an individual, group, team or organization with a commitment to a collaborative approach. The award highlights the impact that collaboration can have in the Armed Forces sector, and sets an example of best practice for others to follow.
The winners of the 2020 FiMT Working Together Award were announced as the Sussex and Kent & Medway Armed Forces Network, at a ceremony which took place online last year after the original ceremony was postponed due to Covid-19. Previous winners include the Confederation of Service Charities’ Housing Cluster, Scotland’s ‘Unforgotten Forces’ consortium and Invictus Games double-gold medal winner Rob Cromey-Hawke.
Ray Lock CBE, Chief Executive of FiMT, said:
“Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at FiMT. We know that our sector is strongest when we work together, bringing together individuals, teams and organizations to best serve our Armed Forces community.
“We are delighted once again to be sponsoring this important award, and look forward to seeing all of the entries. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the collaboration which we know takes place across our sector at many levels, and to encourage others to follow in the footsteps of our fantastic winners and finalists.”
Soldiering On Awards Co-Chair, Lt. Col. Ren Kapur MBE, said:
“We are delighted to have the continued support of Forces in Mind Trust. Through this support over the past six years, we have been able to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the Armed Forces community shown through the many examples of collaboration and stakeholders working together for the greater good of individuals, their families, and organisations.
“We are honoured and excited that the 2021 Soldiering On Awards are going ahead and even more privileged to be lifting the lid on the Armed Forces’ incredible talent once more.”
