New research with veterans has called for a ‘trauma informed’ approach towards assessments for benefits.
The new research highlights the key challenges of the benefits assessments process, as well as reporting on good practice and how this can be built upon to address inconsistent veteran experiences.
The report from the University of Salford is part of the ongoing Sanctions, Support and Service Leavers project, that is funded by Forces in Mind Trust.
The interim report on benefits assessments can be accessed here.
