The Government has released a new report, Living in our Shoes, which reviews the needs of UK Armed Forces families.

Today (18 December) Forces in Mind Trust has published an interim evaluation of an advocacy programme which helps ex-Service personnel and their families to navigate support services and get their lives back on track. The military Advocacy service (mAs) is run by specialist charity seAp (Support, Empower, Advocate, Promote).

Research undertaken by the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT), released today, to assess how engagement with, and by, families works during the process of transition back into civilian life and where it could be improved, highlights the need for more accessible and inclusive support.

A model of peer support is being developed for families of ex-Service personnel with substance use problems thanks to funding of £108,713 by the Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT).
