Projects we have funded

A continuation of the Armed Forces Charities project which will see the development of an interactive online dashboard for the Armed Forces charity sector, a Sector Insight report in 2023 and Cobseo member surveys.

Sponsorship of the 2021 Working Together Award, an award to honour a person or a group of people, team or organisation that has demonstrated an enduring commitment to a collaborative approach, engaging with others to support the sector within the wider armed forces community.

A 2-year research project that will conduct an in-depth analysis of demographic data and lived experience of transition relating specifically to service leavers in Scotland.

The continuation of Informing Scotland, a project which engages with decision makers in statutory and third sector organisations across Scotland, informing them about the Armed Forces Covenant, ex-Service community and those in transition.

A grant awarded to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund on behalf of the Casework Steering Group to support the first phase of the Cobseo Casework Steering Group ‘Casework Transformation Project’.

The Armed Forces Project 2020 sees the continuation of the armedforcescharities.org.uk website and the production of two Focus on reports; Finance and Families.

A 3-year UK-wide study of the experiences of British ex-Service personnel who have undergone a ‘negative transition’ back into civilian life. Specifically, the research would look at those who have ended up homeless, in prison or under mental health supervision.

In partnership with Clore Social Leadership, Cobseo and FiMT, the Cobseo Emerging Leader Programme aims to support emerging leaders in the Service charities sector, Clore Social seeks to develop a cadre of leaders to provide robust and effective leadership for their organisations and sector. FiMT have funded the programme from 2018 to 2020.
