Projects we have funded

A 2-year research project which aims to understand the impact of serving in the UK Armed Forces for BAME veterans and their families, in particular those whose heritage is from the Indian sub-continent or the West Indies.

A project to examine the impact of the Covenant in reducing disadvantage for the Armed Forces Community and how the work of public sector organizations, under the Covenant, has achieved this.

A continuation of the Armed Forces Charities project which will see the development of an interactive online dashboard for the Armed Forces charity sector, a Sector Insight report in 2023 and Cobseo member surveys.

Sponsorship of the 2021 Working Together Award, an award to honour a person or a group of people, team or organisation that has demonstrated an enduring commitment to a collaborative approach, engaging with others to support the sector within the wider armed forces community.

A grant to support the Veterans Work project. Veterans Work, made-up of leading professional services firm Deloitte, the Armed Forces charity the Officers’ Association and The Forces in Mind Trust , is a consortium of organisations whose collective aim is to improve our understanding of veteran employment.

An 18-month project to research the current provision and effectiveness of housing related information and advice to the Armed Forces Community. Delivered in collaboration with the Cobseo Housing Cluster.

A 3-month project exploring how the learning from the Shoulder to Shoulder programme delivered by TimeBank, can be incorporated into the SSAFA mentoring programme.
