A 24 hour consultation entitled “Back to Civvy Street: How can we better support individuals to lead more successful civilian lives after a career in the UK Armed Forces?”. Senior participants from the MOD and Government to Military Charity, Employment, and Training sectors, analysed 3 transition-related areas: employment and housing as a route to economic stability; social networks as a form of resilience; and altering public perception that service leavers are damaged individuals. A one-year project to strengthen the capacity of knowledge of businesses to recruit Service leavers and support them during transition.

A grant (£​210,859) to help ex-servicemen and women make a successful transition back to civilian life. The Project identified gaps in the cultural differences between military and civilian life. An additional grant of £​21,681 was awarded in June 2015 for the dissemination of the original project.

Initially a 3- year project to generate a comprehensive understanding of Northern Ireland that would be used by policy makers and service deliverers across the sector. The mental health element was split out and awarded under the MHRP 3 months later, entitled, 'Mental Health Needs of the Hidden Veteran Community in Northern Ireland’. These two projects became joined in terms of work packages in February 2017 under what is now known as the Northern Ireland Veteran Health and Wellbeing Study (NIVHWS).

The 12-month programme is designed for leaders in the social sector with over 6 years' experience who seek to build their leadership capabilities and make a lasting difference within the sector. Since 2015 FiMT has funded Specialist Fellowships for those working in the Armed Forces Charity sector

A 24-month project to assess how service providers can work together more effectively to improve access to housing for ex-Service personnel.

A grant over 3 years to fund a project aimed at meeting the needs and providing effective services for veterans serving criminal sentences in the community. In addition a grant was awarded to enable the delivery of an e learning product aimed at those working with ex-Service personnel.

Sponsorship of the Working Together Award over a three year period, which honours a person, team or organisation that has demonstrated an enduring commitment and a collaborative approach, engaging with external organisations to support the sector within the wider community.

A pilot project to provide additional support through transition for those veterans settling in the London area, the evaluation of which was carried out by Cordis Bright.

The evaluation of an early intervention programme helping veterans who are arrested in Norfolk and Suffolk. The evaluation – which was carried out by Anglia Ruskin University – also included study of this cohort.
